Notes for John [1268] Yaxley:
[Yaxley.ged]
John [1750] who died in 1630 mentions John & his brother the sons of Samuel in his Will.It is my belief that these are John [1268], brother Thomas [2095] & father Samuel [1267]. John [1268] is not alive in 1627 because he is not mentioned in Thomas, his grandfather's Will [W63] of 1627. Hence he was born between 1627 & 1630.
It is assumed that John [1268] had no children in 1667 or his father would have named them in his will as he did for his other children. Since he had no children in 1667 and he was at least 37 years of age it is probable that he died a singleman.
There is a John of Weybourne who dies in 1674 having made his Will [W52] in 1673. In his Will he names no wife or children suggesting he is a singleman.
There is only one John Yaxley in the Weybourne 1666 hearth Tax in a house with a single hearth again suggesting that he was a singleman.
In this tree it is assumed that these are all the same John namely John [1268]
John [1268] records in his Will [W52] that he is a shoemaker as is his brother in law George Hindle. This means that one of John's sisters married George Hindle Also in the Will he names Mary Tompson daughter of John Tompson mariner "my kinswoman." Since she is not his niece she is possibly the daughter of one of his cousins.
George Hindle & Mary Tompson, both of Holt, are his executors. He makes Robert Feazor the elder of Stody, tanner, supervisor of his Will.
